66 chevy or 88 jeep...?

im looking to buy a reliable pick up that i can carry a slide in camper in while travleing the states the choices are a well running 1988 j10 long bed jeep fixer upper, or a 66 chevy long bed also a fixer upper but well running, i of course understand that the decision is based on little information on your part but im simply looking for past stories on anyone who may have owed one of of these trucks .... which is more reliable, which would suit the job more, which is easier to work on etc.... whats your take on these two truck...?
